Local Law 11 — officially known as the Facade Inspection & Safety Program (FISP) — is a New York
City law that requires the exterior walls and appurtenances of certain buildings to be regularly
inspected by a licensed professional. The goal is simple: keep building facades safe for occupants,
pedestrians, and neighbors below.
If a facade is found to be unsafe or deteriorating, the building owner is required by law to repair
it. Sadhia Construction handles the full process — inspection coordination, repairs, and DOB
sign-off.
Who Does It Apply To?

This includes residential apartment buildings, co-ops, condominiums, mixed-use buildings, and commercial properties. If your building meets these criteria, compliance is not optional — it is a legal requirement enforced by the NYC Department of Buildings.
The DOB divides NYC buildings into inspection cycles called FISP Cycles. We are currently in Cycle 10, which covers the period 2025–2029. Your building's deadline is determined by the last digit of your block number:
